It is difficult to believe, but one of the hardest tasks I have is actually finding ideas to work on.
Shareware
As I try to make clear in my readmes I donﾕt believe in costly shareware. Anything I write is either IR｣5 or free, and all payments are valid for all future versions.

The Programs
Alias Arranger (Shareware) 1.1
This program saves time by allowing you to quickly create aliases in your favourite folders. Just drop a file onto its icon, choose a location and the alias is created there automatically without your having to do any more.
Locations for the Apple Menu Items, Startup Items and Desktop folders are created automatically, but you can also create your own, say for a Documents folder you might have.
Itﾕs also possible to choose a specific folder when creating an alias, again saving you the time of burrowing through lots of Finder windows. You can also choose a custom suffix instead of ﾒ aliasﾓ for any aliases Alias Arranger creates. Deranged DOS idols could change it to ﾒ.alsﾓ, for exampleﾉ
You can also now scan folders and disks for aliases that have become invalid, and easily point them to new targets or delete them.
Quote of the Day (Free or shareware) 1.3
When run, Quote of the Day displays a famous (or not so famous) quote. Most users like to place an alias to it in their Startup or Shutdown items folder. Quotes can be copied for use in another application, or the quotes files edited directly using any text editor such as BBEdit or SimpleText.
The program quits automatically after a user- selectable period of time, so as to avoid holding up the startup process if you are away from your computer.
QuickChar (Shareware) 1.5.5
QuickChar provides a simple solution to entering unusual characters, like those with accents, or other special symbols such as ｩ or ｨ. By holding down a selectable combination of modifier keys and clicking, the QuickChar character picker window pops up, from which you can select the character youﾕre looking for. This window also displays the key combination needed to manually produce the character and its ASCII code (for programmers).
Version 1.5.5 brings a floating window that you can keep permanently open on the desktop for even simpler character access. This window can be collapsed when not in use to save screen space.
QuickChar also supports the creation of macros to enter commonly used strings, like the date and time, for example.
In QuickChar aware applications, you can also easily search for the character you need in a Dingbats or Symbol font.
